The vegie challenge

Can I come up with recipes which will make vegies exciting to kids?
Kate sent me this message on Facebook
I would LOVE some creative ways to get my kids to eat healthier food. They refuse to eat zucchini cake. Sana actually spots the zucchini in it. Grrr. No vegetables except for raw celery or carrot. Made will eat crockie cucumber.
I’m curious as to what ‘crockie cucumber’ is. I also thought I’d take on the challenge. So this week I’m going to be doing my best to come up with a dish a day for Sana and Made to try. Maybe this will give you or your kids/clients a few exciting ideas too.

Oh, Mish! You are one gem of a woman. What a sweet gesture. Make sure, though, that they are ingredients I have on hand. LOL!

BTW – crockie cucumber is the name of a character mentioned in an episode of The Mr. Men Show. Made has pet names for many foods and this is just one of them. It is obviously cucumber! He is able to reel off, verbatim, the lines of several movies and kids shows. Haemophilia leaves boys with plenty of t.v. time, sadly.

Thank you, I needed to get off my bottom and do some blogging and your boys gave me a challenge. Don’t worry it’s all just your average vegies.
